Snow Trek Details

Day 1: Arrival at Manali and Village Walk

  • Arrive at Himalayan Mountain Sojourns’ Palchan campsite
  • After check-in you will be briefed about the surrounding area
  • After lunch, step out for a short acclimatization trek to Burwa village nearby
  • Dinner and overnight at campsite

Day 2: Trek to Kothi or Gulaba or Kulang  Forest

  • After an early breakfast, a vehicle will drop you at the roadhead from where snow trek starts
  • This may be Kothi or Gulaba or Kulang Forest (location depends on availability of snow)
  • If snow is not found close to the roadhead then you’ll have to trek a short distance before you reach a suitable snow point
  • You will climb a snow-covered mountain slope
  • After gaining some altitude, you descend down by sliding and glissading to the roadhead
  • Vehicle will pick you up and drop to our Palchan campsite
  • Dinner and overnight at campsite

Day 3: Departure from Manali

  • Free day till afternoon, you can opt for local sightseeing
  • Depart from campsite after lunch
  • Tour ends

  • Accommodation in room at campsite – Triple or Four-sharing
  • Pick up from Manali bus stand to HMS campsite on arrival day

  • Similar to Amarnath cave in Kashmir, a natural shivling made of snow can be seen in an icy cave
  • While returning, you stop at Solang Valley – a hub of adventure and fun activities
  • Return to campsite by our vehicle in the evening
  • Dinner and overnight at campsite
