Overview – India is a vast country. Even during the summer months of April and May when the rest of India is shimmering with scorching heat, the mountain slopes of Manali still have snow as low as to 10,000 ft from mean sea level. If you are an enthusiast trekker and camper, we dare you to go one step further to pass few days in the fairy lands of snow. The snow gives the high altitude meadows and forests a distinctive grandeur, transforming the landscape into a shimmering white kingdom that rises right into the heaven. This feels like another planet. What it looks like is scenery for a Christmas card: smooth white snow hills and dense white forests. The snow makes everything serene. At the sun rise and sun set the snow is golden on the hills and the forests grow illumined and soft when slanting rays of morning and evening sun sieve through the branches of tall pine trees.
Himalayan Mountain Sojourns has a high altitude camp at an altitude of 11000ft. We call it as Snow Camp. This is our base for snow adventure activities like snow climbing, ice climbing, glissading and snow skiing. While doing all these activities we make participants trek on the snow to reach the holy Peak of Bhrigu on the top of the mountain (14500ft) which gives a sense of achievement and satisfaction to the participant.
